What we collect

• Account details: name, work email, company and a hashed password. We never store passwords themselves.
• Security data: sign-in times, IP addresses, browser type, and a set of browser and device characteristics used to recognise your trusted devices and protect your account.
• Usage of Trade Terminal data files, to keep the service fair and detect automated scraping.
• Messages you send through our contact form.
• Website analytics: the pages you view, how long you spend on them, how far you scroll, what you click, which forms you start or send (not what you type into them), text you copy, the estimates you run in Trade Terminal, the site that referred you, and your browser, device, screen, language and time zone. We identify your browser with a first-party cookie, and use your IP address to estimate your location and network (for example, your company or internet provider). If you create an account or contact us, we connect this history to you.

How we use it

To run the service, secure your account, enforce per-seat licensing, bill subscriptions, reply to you, and understand who uses our products and how so we can improve them and follow up with interested customers. We don't sell personal data or share it with advertisers, and our analytics run on our own servers, not through third-party trackers.

Processors

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. Email is delivered by our email provider. Hosting and database providers store data on our behalf. Location and network estimates use the IP Geolocation by DB-IP databases, which run on our servers.

Retention

Security events and website analytics are kept for up to 13 months. Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted on request after it closes, except where we must keep billing records.
